Join the National Week of Action! | Nov 2-8 | End Family Detention

Since last summer thousands of young people have been fleeing violence and devastating poverty in Central America, crossing the U.S. border seeking asylum. Rather than being welcomed, the Department of Homeland Security threatened to deport them back to their home countries.

Public pressure forced them to wait rather than deport them immediately. But rather than following the process of releasing these children to family members in the U.S. to await their asylum hearing, the administration decided to indefinitely jail thousands of children and mothers in “new family detention centers” in Dilley and Karnes, Texas. These centers have terrible conditions. And even worse, they are private prisons operated FOR PROFIT by Corrections Corporation of America and GEO Group.

A Federal Judge has twice ordered the Administration to release all the detained children, but so far, these children have not been released. TWICE. Join us in saying, “NO JAILING OF CHILDREN.”

In the struggle for legalization and full equality for all undocumented immigrants in the U.S. En la lucha por la legalizacion y la igualdad para todos los inmigrantes indocumentados en los EEUU.
